Further to a successful nomination by Cheshire East Council, FPA’s Classical House project, built by developer MH Stainton Ltd, has been entered for the Northwest Regional Final of the Local Authority Building Control Building Excellence Awards 2012.

The property, a 10,000sqft 6 bedroom house with leisure complex, was developed in a Georgian style.  The challenge was to achieve traditional detailing that meets modern day requirements.  The project offered FPA the opportunity to indulge in the preparation of a comprehensive detail drawing package that covered all internal and external aspects of the construction.

From the weighted sliding sash windows to the leadwork rolled roof hips, the developer demanded the highest level of finish throughout.  The distinctive house is testament to the workmanship of the craftsmen involved.

The awards take place on Friday 11th May at De Vere Whites Hotel in Bolton.
